Measuring what matters: building a Desirability Scorecard

Design teams are good at spotting when a solution feels right, but that intuition rarely translates into language leadership can act on. This workshop, delivered at Cloudflare's Growth Week, introduces the Desirability Scorecard — a lightweight framework for scoring any design solution against four principles: Detectable (can it be found?), Usable (can it be operated?), Impactful (does it move the metric?), and Credible (does it build trust?). After a short introduction to the framework and how it connects to OKRs and business strategy, participants worked in small groups to build a scorecard for a sample problem, writing framing statements and defining target metrics for each principle — the same exercise walked through slide-by-slide below.
